The person must be married according to the dates recorded in the parish that the marriage took place.
Example: If your parents were married in 1952 in the parish of Notre-Dame de Montréal, you have a very good chance of finding their marriage since we have the marriages from the beginning of the parish until 1985.
On the other hand, if your parents were married in 1986 in the parish of Notre-Dame de Montréal, we do not have their marriage. It is obvious that if we have not linked a marriage with that of his parents, the research stops there too.
Try with your grandparents' generation.
So, we suggest you search for yourself using this menu in case it is not yet linked. « You can help us by sending us by email the data of the person you are looking for as well as data from likely parents. »
If you do not find it, you will, unfortunately, have to look elsewhere or come back later.
To find out which parishes are available and their dates, go to the « Utility » and « List of available parishes » menu.
